DMX Arrested Outside Miami Wal-Mart After Failing to Appear at Hearing
Here we go again! DMX was arrested outside Wal-Mart in Miami on Thursday afternoon in connection with a bench warrant issued earlier this week by an Arizona judge. The embattled rapper was rumored to have entered a rehabilitation facility prior to Tuesday's hearing, resulting in his absence. X's lawyer claims the rapper was admitted to a Miami hospital the day he was scheduled to appear in court in Phoenix and that he was "planning" on entering rehab upon his release.
A judge issued a bench warrant for the rapper on Tuesday and increased his bond to $25,000 as a penalty for his absence. X, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is charged with one count of marijuana possession and four counts of drug paraphernalia possession, stemming from a raid on his Arizona home in May.
