After being on New York's Hot 97 radio station for 21 years, DJ Mister Cee has called it quits for the second time, according to XXL.

The veteran DJ, who discovered the late Notorious B.I.G., took to Instagram to talk about it his resignation. He writes:

"So every Friday after I would go off the air @ 1pm, I would stay @hot97 and prepare for my Friday Nite Live show," wrote Big Daddy Kane's former DJ. I would sit in this corner of the studio all day on Friday. Somebody just sent me a pic showing me respect by not sitting in [the] corner today. Yall cats at Hot 97 is making me feel like Derek Jeter today. Thank you. Love you all."

Funkmaster Flex also went on social media to tell listeners that Cee was leaving. "Resignation Alert!!! Today will be @djmistercee last day on @hot97!!! Tune in and wish him well," he wrote.

This is the Brooklyn native's second resignation at the station, as he first called it quits after his third arrest for soliciting a transgender prostitute a while back. He eventually pled guilty to the charges, and gave a tearful admission on air about struggling with his sexuality.

"I never had actual sexual intercourse with another man, and vice versa," he said. "I just feel like I let a lot of people down."

However, this time there was no official reason why Cee turned in his resignation, and there was no mention of him quitting because of legal problems or another arrest.

This is the second high profile resignation at Hot 97, as Angie Martinez left the station back in June.
