Dipset is most definitely back in action, having announced their first concert since settling a three-year rift. When it comes to the studio, the Harlem crew is making a big move by bringing in some A-List production on their comeback record.

Taking to Twitter last night, The Diplomats' defacto leader Jim Jones posted a picture of the group in the studio with legendary producer Dr. Dre. For many fans, this is certainly an unprecedented and somewhat odd move. The two camps have never worked together and, until recently, seemed to run in different circles.

"Just finished our 1rst session wit Dr. Dre," Jones wrote. "Incredible #dipsetbitch." He posted the following picture as proof:

To provide some context, Dipset is reportedly very close to signing a deal with Interscope, which has been Dr. Dre's longtime home. This collaboration with Dre implies that those rumors have truth and that the group is moving ahead with some of the perks that only a major label stocked with tried-and-true hitmakers can provide.

In the meantime, The Diplomats are gearing up for that huge reunion concert on November 26 at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom. The event will be the first time that Jones, Cam'ron, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey have hit the stage together since disbanding in the mid-Aughts. Get your pink polos ready, people.
