The police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile has generated plenty of outrage on social media and across the world. Several rappers and singers, including David Banner, Drake and Bobby V., have spoken out about the shootings.

On Thursday (July 7), Brooklyn rapper Desiigner displayed his frustration with law enforcement in a recent Instagram video. The “Panda” rapper, fresh from releasing his “Caliber” video, said that he's "pissed off" at people (and other cops as well) who are not "turning up at the precincts" in protest over the shootings.

The 19-year-old rapper also urged people who want to become police officers to serve their communities instead of killing unarmed citizens. "[Help] walk a kid across the street, save the world," he stated.

Desiigner then revealed that he was a victim of gun violence when he was a teen and claims that cops left him to die while he was bleeding on the street from his bullet wound.

“I was one of those people who was a victim of gun violence,” he says. “They tried to leave me out there, tried to let me bleed, tried to say I fell off a bike.”

Overall, the police shootings of two unarmed black men has left people with a multitude of emotions in regards to policing in America.
