Dave East Drops ‘Type of Time’ Video From His ‘Kairi Chanel’ Mixtape [WATCH]

Dave East just dropped the video for "Type of Time," off of his newly-released Kairi Chanel mixtape--his first release for Def Jam.

In the Fred Focus directed-clip, you can see the 28-year-old deliver his rapid paced flow all around his beloved New York City, most of the time sporting black clothing, dark shades and a black bandanna.

Lyrically, Dave does a good job of keeping the listener's attention, since he displays stellar breath control and spits rhymes with extreme clarity. Despite the impressive flow, however, the Harlem MC fails to deliver a line that contains that wow-factor, but that certainly doesn't mean his lyrics are sub-par.

"Strapped with my driver, you know there's no running up / You against the family you dumb or what? / I'm 'bout to f--- four or five summers up, she got the waist trainer on her waist / Told that b---- to get a tummy tuck," rhymes the Nas protégé.
