The "Empress of Soul" Gladys Knight has hung up her tap shoes after bidding farewell to "Dancing With the Stars" this week. The 67-year-old "Next Time" performer was eliminated alongside her dance partner Tristan MacManus. During her month-and-a-half on the show, Knight lost an impressive 60 pounds.

"I feel amazing... Coming to 'DWTS' kept me where I should be, so I can be a healthy weight-loss person," Knight told E! News.

Teaming with MacManus helped her shed the pounds. "[Tristan] helped [by] wearing me out," she told People.com. "You've got to eat healthy and you've got to put a little movement into it."

The soul singer and MacManus were eliminated on season 14 of the competition after going up against Disney star Roshon Fegan and his dance partner Chelsie Hightower. "If I could judge purely with my heart, you would be at the top of my leaderboard," head judge Len Goodman told Knight.

Knight, who has nine solo albums on her resume, isn't letting the dismissal from "Dancing With the Stars" kill her momentum. "I've always been on the move and I've always had things to do and places to go, people to see and people to stand up for, " she shared with ET.
