Chance The Rapper’s Bodyguard Arrested After Wrestling With Fan
Chance the Rapper’s bodyguard doesn’t play when it comes to protecting his clients. According to TMZ, 44-year-old Star Thomas, who is Chano's personal guard, was arrested following an incident where he allegedly pummeled a fan last Thursday (Aug. 3) in Chicago.
The incident started when the fan tried to jump in the same elevator as Chance and his entourage but Thomas blocked him. Two hours later, the Coloring Book artist and his bodyguard bumped into the same guy in the lobby and that’s when the two men clashed -- WWE-style.
Insiders told TMZ that Thomas allegedly body slammed the guy in the lobby of the W Hotel and Chance was right there to see it all go down. Thomas was subsequently arrested and booked for misdemeanor simple battery. His attorney had no comment on the matter.
Chance the Rapper was in town to headline Day 3 of the 2017 Lollapalooza music festival on Saturday (Aug. 5). The highlight of the show was Chance bringing out his now-former rap rival Vic Mensa for a medley of “Didn’t I Say I Didn’t” and “Cocoa Butter Kisses.”
“The world will take you a lot of places. Never let it take you away from fam," Chance told the crowd. Afterward, Chance and Vic hugged it out.
