Big Boi Crushes Fans’ Hopes, Says ‘No OutKast Album in the Works’ [VIDEO]
An OutKast reunion is good enough news, but word of anything Andre 3000 and Big Boi-related always leads to speculation of new material. Unfortunately the latter is crushing fans' hopes of a new album from the rap duo.
Sir Luscious Left Foot confirmed there will not be a new OutKast project in the works during an interview with REVOLT.
Big Boi was at a 'Game of Thones' party during All-Star Weekend when he dropped the news in blunt terms. "We're just doing the tour only, just for the fans. That's all it is, just the tour," he says. "It's just the OutKast 20th year anniversary. Just a way for us to celebrate with our fans, but there's no album in the works, no."
It's unfortunate news, but at least there's new Big Boi material on the way. He says he'll be releasing a new mixtape inspired by 'Game of Thrones' in a few weeks, and it will feature Wale and Common.
He's been keeping busy with his ongoing Mashup Mondays series, in which he drops songs featuring one of his old verses with new material. OutKast has recently been announced as headliners for the upcoming OVO Fest as well.
