The surviving members of the Beastie Boys, Mike "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz, will be promoting their upcoming memoir with a handful of special Live & Direct events this fall.

"Each night of Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct will feature readings, conversations between Mike D, Ad-Rock and a special guest moderator and Q&A sessions," reads a press release, "all with a live score provided by Mix Master Mike and a brand new Beastie Boys exhibit, curated by Beastie Boys & Beyond the Streets in partnership with Adidas Skateboarding. Sonos will provide the sound experience at each exhibit, playing a mixtape curated by Ad-Rock and Mike D. As if that’s not enough, every ticket for Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct comes with a physical copy of Beastie Boys Book—to be redeemed upon entrance to the event."

They'll begin with two dates in New York (Manhattan and Brooklyn) at the end of October, before moving on to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Then, the week after Thanksgiving, they'll do one in London. Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 28, and you can get full information at their website.

Arriving Oct. 30, the 592-page Beastie Boys Book, written by Ad-Rock and Mike D with contributions from friends and admirers, tells the band's story, from their days as punks to groundbreaking rappers. It includes rare photographs, illustrations, a cookbook from Chef Roy Choi, a graphic novel, mixtape playlists and a map of the Beastie Boys' New York.
