Austin City Limits Music Festival just announced the lineup for its 10th anniversary edition, which takes place this September 16-18, and if SXSW didn't already convince you that Austin, Texas is the live music capital of the world, maybe this will. Headliners Stevie Wonder, Arcade Fire, Kanye West, Coldplay and My Morning Jacket will join additional anchors Fleet Foxes, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Nas & Damian 'Jr. Gong' Marley and Cee Lo. Some other highlights on the eclectic 130-band bill include: Big Boi, Chiddy Bang, Bright Eyes, Social Distortion, Elbow, TV on the Radio, Broken Social Scene, Iron & Wine, Death From Above 1979 and James Blake.

As is typical of ACL, the roster represents a diverse cross-section of artists and the festival has continued its trend of stretching out from its adult contemporary and Americana roots. Thus, classic singer-songwriters like Gillian Welsh and Wanda Jackson will be balanced by sets from electronic heat-seekers such as Pretty Lights and Skrillex. The festival also boasts more hip-hop this year than in prior incarnations, through some of the artists listed above, as well as a crossover sampling of R&B (Mavis Staples), new soul (Fitz & the Tantrums) and old soul (Charles Bradley). Dance ravers Chromeo and Empire of the Sun will compete with indie rock upstarts Smith Westerns and J. Roddy Walston & the Business. In between, there's still jazz and bluegrasss -- together (Preservation Hall Jazz Band with the Del McCoury Band). It'll be like SXSW all over again. Only this time, we don't need no stinking badges.

Of course, in a sign of the times, 3-day general admission passes actually sold out long before Tuesday's artist announcement. However single day passes will be available beginning Tuesday (May 17) at 10AM ET through the official festival website. Ah...you might want to make that a triple.
