Andre 3000, T.I. ‘Sorry': New Track Needs No Apologies
T.I. released "Sorry," a new track from his forthcoming record Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head, but no one is sorry about the fact that he collaborated with Andre 3000 for the song. Funnily enough, the song dropped on the same day that Andre's old Outkast partner Big Boi released a new track via Noisey called "In the A" which features T.I. and Ludacris.
The song is from his forthcoming record Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, which Andre isn't on, and he seems to allude to a strain in their relationship on his flow on "Sorry." In a long string of apologies, he says, "It's the type of shit that will make you call your rap partner/And say I'm sorry I'm awkward/My fault for fucking up the tour."
Although T.I. has the first half of the song on lock, even he admits that 3 Stacks outdid him on the track. Andre's rare guest appearances and lack of any real full-length solo album makes this that much more compelling.
Plus there's something about his emotional openness and swaggering braggadocio that are endearing. The song also featured production by Jazze Pha. Stream the track below via Atlantic Records' soundcloud.
