Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge Pay Homage to ‘Paid In Full’ in NxWorries’ ‘Scared Money’ Video [WATCH]
Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge (aka NxWorries) kick it old school in their new video for “Scared Money,” which is from the their latest album, Yes Lawd!
Directed by Calmatic, the duo pay homage to the 2002 cult classic film Paid in Full. Set in 1988, .Paak and Knxwledge are reimagining parts of the film and doing their best B-Boy stances. According to NxWorries’ label, Stones Throw, Paid in Full is their favorite movie so they wanted to honor it and hip-hop culture.
The visual then segues into an epilogue featuring a new remix of “Best One,” produced by Knxwledge. The song is from a NxWorries’ next project, Yes Lawd!Lyk Dis," which was shot in Rome. In a recent video, .Paak vowed to continued making fearless music.
“I’m the most free when I’m making music. I feel like a superhero,” he said. “I feel closer to God when I’m making music. I feel like I can do extraordinaire things.”
“You don’t want to have any regrets. No fear,” he adds.
