Alicia Keys sat down with 'Good Morning America' to discuss her directorial debut of the short film tied within the candid Lifetime movie 'Five,' set to air Mon., Oct. 10.

The 'Songs in A Minor' creator co-directed the made-for-TV film alongside actresses Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston. 'Five' chronicles the emotional journey women face from breast cancer diagnosis to chemotherapy. Each section of the film is woven together to create a story arc that holds each character together.

Keys' piece of the puzzle, titled 'Lili,' follows the life of a career-driven woman -- played by Rosario Dawson -- who must lean on her mother and sister to get through the treatment despite their familial differences.

"Lili's family, I mean, it's such a powerful dynamic because everyone is kind of their own interesting person... and all they're going through it together. And that's what we deal with as families," the 'Empire State of Mind' singer said. "This was my first time directing and I am in love! You will see me behind the camera more, I'm hoping."

Keys also cooed over her son turning one and his first "tender" kiss with fellow director Aniston.

Tune into Lifetime Oct. 10 to see Keys' work behind the camera.
