With a steady pace and laid back demeanor rapper, producer, and singer 6LACK performed Erykah Badu's classic song "On and On."

The Atlanta native performed the song for triple j’s Like A Version. Wearing a Sade t-shirt, beanie, and jeans, he effortlessly sailed through the song adding his personal touch. He kept the set to a minimum, performing with one musician on the keys and another playing the drums.

After his performance, 6Lack received a special call from the analog girl herself, Erykah Badu. He explained to Badu why he chose her song to cover.

"I don't know if they gave you the background, when you were performing at a festival in L.A. All I know that day my daughter was being born and you were performing in the background."

He named his daughter Six (Badu's son is named Seven).
