WondaGurl is a sixteen-year old producer from Canada who is now known throughout the hip-hop world for her contribution to Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail.' Today, she spoke with MTV about producing 'Crown' off that album.According to WondaGurl, she had found the sample, Sizzla's 'Solid As A Rock,' when she was looking for reggae samples, and decided to cut it up and add 808s using FL Studio. She then decided to send the beat to Travi$ Scott, thinking it would be a good track for him or possibly Pusha T to record to.

However, Scott had other things in mind.

A few days later, Scott hit up the sixteen-year old to tell her that he was going to change her life forever. After that, she got the message that her beat had been placed on Jay-Z's newest album.

When asked who she would like to work to moving forward, WondaGurl named some obvious choices, including Timbaland, Kanye West, and Drake. But she also added that she would love to produce Keri Hilson's comeback single, as she was a big fan of Keri's before. That would certainly be interesting. Check out the interview below.
