The women with power-packed, soulfully sweet voices came out to showcase their talents Sunday night (Dec. 18) for 'VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul,' a special that highlights classic soul music from cities including Philadelphia, Chicago, Memphis, London and Detroit.

Lauded songstresses joined forces with newbies and R&B singers crossed paths with pop rockers and veteran rappers. Jennifer Hudson sparkled in a colorful jeweled number while Mary J. Blige looked heavenly in a shocking white hip-hugging dress, as they performed tracks like 'You Keep Me Hanging On,' 'Real Love,' 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Spotlight' alongside chanteuse Kelly Clarkson.

Erykah Badu took the stage with Chaka Khan and Mavis Staples for 'I'll Take You There,' while Blige grabbed the mic a second time to unite with Khan for her 1983 hit 'Ain't Nobody.' Badu also got together with former Floetry member Marsha Ambrosius and Estelle to glide through a track in front of a packed house.

A tribute to fallen singer Amy Winehouse had Wanda Jackson, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings perform 'You Know I'm No Good,' a song off the U.K. entertainer's sophomore LP, 'Back to Black.' Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine showed her respects for Winehouse by singing her 2006 smash 'Back to Black.'

Jessie J, Jill Scott and Ledisi were a few more of the femme fatales dropping vocal gems for the audience while The Roots' Questlove, 50 Cent, Queen Latifah -- alongside her 'Joyful Noise' co-star Dolly Parton -- Common, Samuel L. Jackson, La La Anthony, Boyz II Men and Travie McCoy were among those in attendance at the event.

'VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul' airs tonight (Dec. 19) at 9PM on VH1.
