After 11 days, R&B star Usher's wife, Tameka Foster-Raymond was released from a Brazilian hospital Tuesday night. Foster-Raymond, left Sirio-Libanes Hospital, where she was taken following a heart attack prior to lipo-suction surgery.

"She checked out yesterday," a representative for the hospital said. No further details were released following the family's request for anonymity.

Foster-Raymond checked into Sao Rafael Hospital last two weeks ago for the procedure. Prior to the surgery Foster-Raymond went into cardiac arrest but was revived a minute later through a heart message. She was then put in a medically induced coma, which is normal protocol for situations of that nature.

"When an attack like this happens, the doctors put the patient to sleep and make sure that everything is okay and that there has not been any damage," said Ellen Dasptry a spokeswoman for the doctor who was to perform the surgery.

Upon hearing the news Usher canceled his performance at Clive Davis' annual Grammy party and rushed to the South American country to be by his wife's side. The singer left Brazil yesterday although it is not confirmed whether or not his wife left with him or is still in the country recuperating.

The couple wed in 2007 and have two children together. Foster-Raymond has three children from a previous relationship.
