Usher to Kick Off NFL Season With New York Concert
Usher's ready for some football! The R&B sensation will kick off the NFL season with a special concert in New York's Columbus Circle right before the season opener between the Washington Redskins and the Super Bowl champion New York Giants this Thursday. And although it might seem early, the crooner has his eye on the Super Bowl.
"I don't think it's too early to consider it," Usher admitted. "Certainly being associated with the organization makes that a lot more possible. There have been conversations for a lot of years about me being part of a performance at a Super Bowl." Well, there's one thing that's for sure: Whether Usher gets a chance to perform at the big game or not, 'Skins and Giants fans, alike, will be routing for their respective team to go all the way.
Usher is set to perform tracks 'Here I Stand,' 'Changing Places' and 'What's Your Name,' from his latest album.
