Looks like this year's MTV Video Music Awards is turning into a real party. Just when you thought the lineup of performers couldn't get any more stacked, MTV has announced that R&B king Usher will now be joining the veritable who's who of rappers, rockers and singers, including Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, B.o.B and Drake.

"It is an honor to once again be a part of the MTV Video Music Awards," Usher said, announcing his first VMA performance since he sang his hit single 'Yeah' back in 2004. "I can't wait to perform for my fans all around the world who have helped to make this album a success and my being here possible. You never know what's gonna happen on an MTV VMA stage ... I look forward to making it a night to remember."

Usher, who just dropped a deluxe edition re-release of his 2010 hit album 'Raymond v. Raymond' and followup EP 'Versus' last week, is nominated for three awards this year, including Best Male Video and Best Dance Music Video.

The MTV VMA's air September 12, live from Los Angeles, featuring host Chelsea Handler and presenters Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo and more. For more info, click here.
