There’s never a shortage of 2Pac music to go around. Recently, an unreleased verse from the late rapper surfaced on a version of Thug Life’s 1994 song, “How Long Will They Mourn Me.”

2Pac’s early collaborator DJ King Assassin unveiled the verse for HipHopDX following the death of Thug Life leader Big Syke. “One of my favorite moments was working with him personally in the studio and I have unreleased Big Syke right now [that will come out soon],” he told HipHopDX.

“But today I wanted to release a special track. It’s a version of “How Long Will They Mourn Me” featuring Big Syke. It has me, Big Syke, Macadoshis on it [and] it’s produced by Warren G," he continued. "What’s different on this one is that the verse from Tupac is totally different. Nobody’s heard this verse at all. No one."

"The song sounds different cause it’s a different mix," he added. "I always had it in the cut. I never planned on releasing it but I think now that him and Pac are gone people would want to hear anything from them."

The song is especially eerie considering that the song's contributors 2Pac, Big Syke, Nate Dogg and even the co-producer Jam Master Jay are no longer here with us.
