To say Travis Scott had an exceptionally good day on May 22 would be an understatement. Two of the rapper's albums—his 2015 debut, Rodeo, and his most recent release, 2016's Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, both went platinum on the same day.

The albums peaked at No. 3 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart respectively, with Rodeo's sales propelled by the hit single "Antidote" which is triple platinum. As for Birds in The Trap..., it was pushed along by the popular singles "Goosebumps" and "Pick Up the Phone" featuring Young Thug. "Goosebumps" was certified double platinum on May 22 as well.

The Houston rapper is staying busy this year. He recently announced that he has two new projects on the way, Astroworld and a collaboration project with Quavo, leaving fans to speculate on which release will arrive first.

“The Quavo album is coming soon,” he promised GQ in a recent interview. “I’m dropping new music soon. You know how I do it, though. I like surprises.”
