Timbaland is gifting fans with a monumental mixtape for the holiday season. The project, King Stays King is slated to drop on Christmas Day and will feature vocals from the late songbird, Aaliyah.

On Thursday (Dec. 17), the veteran producer went on his Instagram page to share a photo of his late protege with the caption, "Aaliyah is back...one song a life time full of joy!!!!!!for me!!!!! Miss u babegirl!!!!!!!"

Timbo also posted a throwback photo of himself and Jay Z with the announcement of his forthcoming tape, which has led fans to speculate that Jay Z will contribute vocals on the project as well.

According to HipHop-N-More, “Get No Better” with Mila J and “Didn’t Do It,” featuring Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, will also be featured on the tape along with an unreleased song by Aaliyah. Surprisingly, Timbaland's protege, Tink, hasn't appeared on the bill yet though.

Timbaland has been working on new music for his forthcoming album, Opera Noir, along with crafting hits for Fox's hit drama series Empire, but it seems he's still willing to give fans some free music along the way.

King Stays King will likely be available on My Mixtapez since the app's logo appears on nearly all of the teasers for the tape. Stay tuned for more info and let us know what you think of the mixtape when it drops on Dec. 25.
