The Roots

The Roots are giving fans the chance to create the official logo for their 2010 Roots Jam Session, which takes place Jan. 30, during Grammy week. The band has created a competition which encourages art-savvy fans to incorporate the words "Roots" "Jam" and "Session" into a creative logo that will be used at the concert. Fans should twitter their design to @RootsJamSession with the tag #RootJams to be considered.

In addition to seeing their logo on the big screen during the Jam Session, the contest winner will be awarded access to the invite-only performance. The Roots Jam Session is an annual event, which takes place before the Grammy awards and past performers have included Travis Barker, Corinne Bailey Rae, Fall Out Boy and Snoop Dogg. Entries for the logo design contest are accepted until 11:59pm on Jan. 7 and the winner will be announced via Twitter later in the month.
