Taxstone Arrested in NYC in Relation to Irving Plaza Shooting
NBC New York reports that U.S. Marshals New York and New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Taxstone, born Darryl Campbell, in Brooklyn this morning (Jan. 16).
The popular "Tax Season" podcast host was reportedly arrested in relation to the Troy Ave shooting which took pace in Irving Plaza at a T.I. concert last May. Troy Ave and two others were wounded in the shooting while Troy Ave's bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, was killed.
NBC reports Sources said Taxstone was wanted on a federal warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of firearm and was also being sought by the NYPD in relation to the Irving Plaza shooting. Following the shooting, Troy Ave was arraigned on charges including attempted murder—he and his lawyers maintain his innocence, citing self-defense.
No more details regarding Taxstone's arrest are available as of yet.
