Snoop Dogg is turning family man. The rapper -- known more for his gangsta image than Papa Snoop -- is working on a film that will chronicle his real-life accounts as a coach for his son's youth football team, appropriately dubbed 'Coach Snoop.'

The MC told MTV that it won't be documentary, but rather a "real movie" helmed with the help of 'Friday' writer DJ Pooh. "It's going to be a great, fun movie that you can take your whole family to see," Snoop said. "We're in the second stage of the writing part."

Meanwhile, Snoop releases his latest album, 'Blue Carpet Treatment' -- featuring such VIP guests as The Game, Timbaland, Brandy, Pharrell and Stevie Wonder -- on Nov. 21.
