As Kobe Bryant prepares to take the court in his final NBA All-Star game in February, fellow b-ballers like Dwayne Wade have gone on record calling the Mamba this generation’s Michael Jordan. Even the NBA legend, himself, has paid tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers star player. Nike will pay homage to Bryant with a sneaker release so special and highly anticipated that it's our Sneaker of The Week.

Back in 2003, when Nike was courting Kobe, they supplied him with a few exclusive Lakers-themed PE’s to play in and it looks like we may finally be getting a shot at copping the rare air. The Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 models both made an appearance on court and they are both rumored to be included in the commemorative "Kobe Pack."

There are no official images of either but based on older photos, the newly remastered models and our imaginations are willing to bet that these kicks will be as clean as ever. And also expensive. According to chatter on Twitter, the pack will run you $500.

There's no official release date for the "Kobe Pack" but expect the collection to be available during the NBA All-Star Weekend in February.
