Former Chicago Cubs player Sammy Sosa made an appearance on ESPN’s coverage of the Home Run Derby, and let’s just say that he’s almost unrecognizable. Not only has the once brown-skinned baseballer gone full-blown white—he’s even more pastier than before.

The latest photos of Sosa have been circulating on the internet and he looks shockingly pink. If you don’t know, Sosa has been bleaching his skin for several years, but it’s clear that he’s taking it to the extreme.

“It’s a bleaching cream that I apply before going to bed and whitens my skin some,” said Sosa in a 2009 interview on Univision’s “Primer Impacto” program. “It’s a cream that I have, that I use to soften [my skin], but has bleached me some. I’m not a racist, I live my life happily."

“What happened was that I had been using the cream for a long time and that, combined with the bright TV lights, made my face look whiter than it really is," he adds. "I don’t think I look like Michael Jackson.”

Twitter begs to differ. People have been reacting to Sosa's new appearance with a lot of slander, commenting that his skin is as pink as his shirt and derby hat. Folks have been comparing him to the Pink Panther and the popular Frankenberry cereal.
