Sam Smith and Mary J. Blige graced the stage and performed their gospel-esque version of ‘Stay With Me' at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 8).

We must note that the pair sang the Rodney Jerkins remix, which is a bit more soulful than the original and features a gospel choir.

Backed by a huge orchestra, the British crooner walked onstage looking very dapper in his navy-colored pinstripe suit. The Queen of Soul later joined him wearing a beautiful navy gown.

The duet ended with Smith and Blige playing vocal acrobatics with each other before they embraced each other. Overall, it was a subtle performance but it packed a lot of vocal punch.

Sam Smith had a really good night. The singer won four trophies: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album for ‘In the Lonely Hour’ and both Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Stay With Me.’

Congratulations to Sam Smith for his Grammy win and his enormous success within the past year.
