Rita Ora is opening up about a past relationship that she refers to as "child abuse." In a 2013 interview that was recently unearthed, the singer discusses a romance she had with a 26-year-old man when she was just 14.

Three years ago, the British entertainer sat down for a talk on The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet to open up about the relationship, which is also detailed in the unauthorized biography, Hot Right Now: The Definitive Biography of Rita Ora.

"I was 14 when I started, you know, when I got my first relationship with a guy," she states. "I would say [he was] about 26. And you have to remember I hadn't had a relationship before then at all. I didn't have sex. I was very new to the whole world of a man and a female."

After de Cadenet points out that it's a crime for an adult to date an underage person, Ora replies, "It is child abuse really, isn't it?" But she's adamant on not labeling herself as a victim. “I don’t want to say that I suffered it, because I wanted it. I don’t want to say that I was forced to do it. I don’t want people to think I was abused as a kid but I was definitely mature than I should have been at the age of 14,” she says.

The book, written by Douglas Wight and Jenn Wiley, is slated to hit shelves on Thursday (Oct. 29). Hot Right Now will also uncover details on Ora's past relationships and on finding fame with Jay Z's Roc Nation. Watch her get candid about her past above.
