Nike Air Flight 89 ‘Gym Red’

Red has always been a hot color for kicks but you've gotta admit that Yeezy season helped raise the temperature even higher. It's also argued that he helped popularize the Nike Air Flight 89 a few years ago so seeing a Gym Red version of the silhouette feels slightly influenced.

The upper on this colorway of the Nike Air Flight 89 is dipped in Gym Red suede and with black piping it easily sets itself apart from the rest of its releases. Another cool accent is the cement midsole which feels like a direct callback to the Air Jordan 4 especially seeing as how they share the same outsole.

These may or may not be an ode to Yeezy who sang his swan song for Nike with a pair of Red October sneakers but it's probably just another fresh colorway of an even fresher shoe. Look for them to land at retailers this fall.
