The reclusive Queens MC revealed that he was unhappy to have been thrust into the limelight, thanks to his bitter split from the "Milkshake" singer, with whom he was in a relationship for four years.

"Life is crazy. I [wound] up paying more money to baby mommas than what some of my rap brothers and sistren make," Nas explained. "I've always been away from too much limelight. No one's exempt from people probing into your life once you get into the game. So it put a lot of my business out there, man. It was like, people weren't thinking I was making that kind of money, and now they knew."

I was always low key with it in a lot of ways. It was hard with people being all in your business, and it was just ugly. Divorce can be crazy," he continued. "Man, if you're happy... Love is a beast, man. Hold on. Be prepared for any way it may go, and be honest."

Nas also finally broke his silence regarding promoter Patrick Allocco, who was kidnapped in Angola with his son, after Nas no-showed at a New Year's Eve event he had booked.

"He wanted me to come to Africa for New Year's. Which to me I thought would be the best way to spend New Year's," Nas explained, attempting to relieve himself from blame. "You booked the flight, but no return flight. I didn't have a visa. You didn't send money 'til after I was supposed to jump on the plane to another country."

Nas concluded by saying that he felt that the Allocco was "in some crazy danger in Africa so he threw me under the bus."

Allocco and son were ultimately released, and Nas returned the deposit he received for the botched event.
