Nas Accuses Kelis of Not Letting Him See His Son in Child Custody Battle
It looks like Nas is gearing up for a custody battle with his baby’s mother Kelis. According to The Blast, the rap legend has filed documents accusing the R&B singer of preventing him from spending time with their eight-year-old son, Knight Jones.
Nas is trying to establish a sound visitation agreement with Kelis, according to the documents. The rapper claims that he has tried to “work cooperatively with Kelis over the years,” but she has been coordinating his custodial visits with their son whenever it’s convenient for her.
Nas also provided a schedule that will allow him custody of his son on even and odds years to avoid confusion. The schedule reads like this:
Kelis gets Halloween in even years, Nas gets odd.
Kelis gets July 4 in even years, Nas gets odd.
Kelis gets Summer Break in odd years, Nas gets even.
Kelis gets Thanksgiving in odd years, Nas gets even.
Kelis gets the child’s birthday in odd years, while Nas gets even.
Nas wasn't specific about Chirstmas or when he gets to have custody of their son during the December/January school break.
Nas and Kelis were married for five years before they divorced in 2010.
