On Tuesday, Michael Jackson's father, Joe Jackson, filed a new wrongful death lawsuit against Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician accused of involuntary manslaughter in his son's death. A portion of Jackson's original wrongful death suit, filed on June 25 2010, was rejected by a California judge, prompting him to pursue a new case.

The new lawsuit, spearheaded by attorney Brian Oxman, accuses Murray of administering potent doses of the anesthetic propofol along with other drugs, which resulted in Michael Jackson's sudden death. The lawsuit also accuses Murray of having a security guard remove incriminating evidence from Jackson's room before the police arrived.

In February, Dr. Conrad Murray plead not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, but he may still face up to four years behind bars if he is convicted.

Jackson died on June 25, 2009 after ingesting lethal amounts of the sedatives proprofol and lorazepam. The King of pop was fifty years old, and days away from kicking off a comeback tour in London.
