Mary J. Blige is putting the drama behind her. The Oscar-nominated singer-actress has reached a settlement in her tumultuous divorce battle with her ex-husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs.

According to TMZ, Blige and Isaacs were to appear in court to start their divorce proceedings on Monday (March 5) in Los Angeles. But the hearing was canceled because both parties reached an agreement on Friday (March 2). Terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.

Blige filed for divorce in July 2016 and it became very contentious after Isaacs demanded nearly $130,000 in spousal support. In a March 2017 interview with The Breakfast Club, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul said that she's not happy about her divorce being so public, but she's "dealing with it."

"I have to keep my head up and let people see how I come out of this because everybody is watching to see if I'm going to crack up, to see if I'm going to spazz out, to see if I'm going to get petty. I might get a little petty... but other than that, I'm trying to get through it. It's ugly and it's terrible," she said.

Attorneys for Blige and Isaacs had no comment on the settlement.

Meanwhile, At the 90th annual Academy Awards on Sunday (March 4), MJB performed her Mudbound tune "Mighty River," which was nominated for Best Original Song. You can watch a snippet of it below.
