Macy Gray
, an established talent in her own right, is taking on the work of another legend -- Stevie Wonder, to be exact. Gray's reworking of Wonder's 1972 LP, Talking Book, hits stores Oct. 30. Before the release, AOL Music is offering a full listen for free.

Although the Ohio native is no stranger to covering well-known songs (past recordings include Radiohead's "Creep" and Kanye West's "Love Lockdown"), she told The BoomBox she was "kinda nervous" about playing her album for the "Isn't She Lovely" singer.

Gray's Talking Book features hits such as "You Are the Sunshine of My Life" and "Superstition." While the vocals have Gray's distinctive rasp, the record maintains the funky edge Wonder infused in it 40 years ago.
