Lil Marc, an up-and-coming rapper in Chicago’s drill scene, was shot and killed Friday (March 28).

According to DNAinfo, the 20-year-old rhymer was shot in the head at 1:27PM at a bus stop. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have no suspects or motive for the shooting.

However, fans are speculating that Lil Marc, born Marc Campbell, was killed over his new video called 'No Competition.' In the clip, the rapper mocks his fellow street rivals, presumedly, rappers Lil Durk and Lil Reese.

Lil Marc leaves behind a pregnant girlfriend and his immediate family to mourn for him.

Police are unsure if Lil Marc’s shooting was related to another incident about an hour earlier in which a 25-year-old man was shot in the thigh. The victim is recovering at Stroger Hospital in Chicago.
