With a slew of young Houston artists like Travis Scott and Mako Kream keeping Houston's name bubbling, the veterans are playing their roles as gatekeepers for the city's sound. One vet staying true to his Houston roots is Lil Keke with the release of his new project, ABA IV.

On Oct. 7, Lil Keke dropped his 13-track project featuring the likes of Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Z-Ro. Keke also managed to intertwine Houston's youth for his new album by calling on BeatKing and Propane. As you can see, this is why Houston remains formidable in the world of rap. ABA IV follows his March 2016 release, Slfmade.
