Lauryn Hill Thanks DJ Khaled for Fugees Sample on ‘Nas Album Done’ Track

One of the big standout tracks on DJ Khaled’s latest album, Major Key, is the Nas-assisted banger, “Nas Album Done.” The song, which samples the Fugees’ classic hit “Fu-Gee-La,” is fan favorite. So you wouldn’t believe who reached out to salute DJ Khaled. That’s right, Ms. Lauryn Hill, herself.

In a missive that she posted on her Apple Music account, L-Boogie thanked Khaled and Nas for showing her love on the song.

"DJ Khaled, thank you for that acknowledgment, and thank you and Nas for blessing up the chune lol," she wrote. "Fugee-La was a special song for us. I have fond memories of us and Salaam [Remi] recording that song."

"There must be something in the air," she added.

Hmmm? A DJ Khaled and Lauryn Hill collaboration maybe?

Ms. Hill finished the letter with blessing to Khaled's upcoming new arrival. “May God bless your family and the arrival of your new child. I also remember that Humble Lion show! Grace and peace to both of you," she wrote.

DJ Khaled responded to Ms. Hill on his Instagram account. In a post, the We the Best leader was honored by her message and returned the favor. "Blessings to the Queen Ms Lauryn Hill. Send my luv to ZION...ZION LET THAT CHUNE GO" he wrote.
