True Celtics fans will never forget the 2008 “Big Three”: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.

The group was the very cornerstone of the 2007-08 Celtics’ title run, but things took a turn after the 2011-12 season when Allen left Boston to be added to the Miami Heat roster.

The situation seemed to never really settle with Allen's former teammates, and the evidence was shown on Monday night during NBA TV KG's Area 21.

KG's former Celtics teammates Rajon Rondo, Glen Davis and Kendrick Perkins along with Pierce and former coach Doc Rivers joined in to look back on their time together in Boston. Yet one person was missing: Allen.

Garnett explained why Allen was not included in the reunion:

“People don’t understand that this is real life for us. The situation with Ray is very sensitive. I think when we all talked about doing this reunion tour, we was talking about guys that we consider loyal, part of this group. Just being honest — my two cent, man. When Ray decided to go to the Heat, I felt like he moved on. He went to pursue another ring. He got another ring — shout to him. And that’s it … It was all Celtics invited to this.”

Ouch, KG. Ouch.

Pierce added: "I was literally hurt by the whole way everything went down ... We hung out all the time ... I thought we formed a brotherhood here in Boston ..."
