Jay-Z will kick off his seven-week world tour in effort to bring awareness to the world's water crisis on Sept. 9 in Krakow, Poland. The trek, which will be captured by the MTV documentary, 'Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life,' will end Oct. 28 in Melbourne, Australia.

"As I started looking around and looking at ways that I could become helpful, it started at the first thing -- water, something as simple as water," the 36-year-old hip-hop mogul said earlier this month at U.N. headquarters. "It took very little, very little to see these numbers."

Jay will perform at this year's Fashion Rocks concert at New York's Radio City Music Hall on Sept. 7 before embarking on his journey. The MTV special is scheduled to air on Nov. 24.
