Guess who’s back? After a very long hiatus, Janet Jackson has announced her return to the R&B industry. The iconic singer went on Twitter early Saturday morning (May 16) to celebrate her 49th birthday and to give fans a special gift.

In a tweet, Janet provided a link to a video, which further explained her plans in 2015. "I promised you'd hear it from my lips, and now you will," she says. "This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement."

“I’ve been listening, let’s keep the conversation going,” she added.

There’s no word on what this movement is or when she will launch her world tour. Nevertheless, this has to be the best birthday gift ever for fans of the “Control” singer.

We haven’t seen or heard from Grammy-winning songbird since she married billionaire Wissam Al Mana in 2012. Mrs. Jackson hasn’t released a full-length studio album since 2008’s Discipline. On top of that, Janet hasn’t toured in over seven years.

The music business has changed drastically since she disappeared from the scene, so it will be interesting to see how Janet is going to make a huge impact with her new music and tour.

In the end, we are glad to hear that Janet is in her creative zone and is ready to deliver another album.
