J Dilla’s musical legacy will be remembered in another posthumous album that’s set for release next month. Motor City is an instrumental project featuring rare beats created by the late producer.

The 19-song collection is by Dilla’s mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, and it’s a love letter to his birth city of Detroit, hence, the LP’s title. According to The FADER, the album will be package in a limited-edition mailing envelope with a handwritten message from to Dilla from his mom.

The CD and vinyl will also come in buying special bundles, which includes a T-shirt, a cassette, a flexi 7,” slipmat and more. Buys will also get a code to download a mix of the album by world-renown DJ J Rocc.

To celebrate the release, Dilla’s J Rocc posted a snippet featuring Biggie, A Tribe Called Quest and Nas rapping over ureleased Dilla's instrumentals.
