Insane Clown Posse Apologize to Method Man for Assault
During an August performance at Insane Clown Posse's annual Gathering of the Juggalos festival in Hardin County, Ill., Method Man was hit in the face with a can of beer, while performing alongside Redman. Meth finished his performance despite the eye wound he received, but the assault sparked controversy.
Following the incident, ICP member Violent J issued a statement saying that Meth was to blame for the incident because he had insulted the crowd. He even went on to say that he didn't feel responsible for the incident, and called the idea of a possible lawsuit for the assault "straight b---- s---."
It seems that Violent J has had a change of heart. In a recent interview with the Village Voice, J revealed that he has actually apologized to Meth for the incident. "There're groups all weekend, so we didn't talk to everybody, and unfortunately that's what I apologized to [Method Man] for. I said, 'I'm sorry we didn't come over and give you a quick briefing on what's up.' But we really honestly assumed they knew and they didn't -- and that's unfortunate because one a--hole made the Juggalos look bad. [Method Man] told me it almost knocked him unconscious it hit him so hard. And that's f---ed. I don't want him to think that's all Juggalos. We didn't all throw that."
Reality TV star Tila Tequila was also assaulted by ICP fans during the festival. She was pelted with cans, rocks and feces during her performance.
