Although the song is long removed from the charts, "CoCo" and its requisite chant ("I'm in love with the coco") are still a staple in the pop culture lexicon. It all came from Odis Flores, better known as O.T. Genasis. He turns 28 years old today (June 18).

Not a lot of people would've thought a member of Busta Rhymes' Conglomerate crew would blow up before Bussa Bus put out E.L.E. 2. Bit it happened. O.T Genasis, a Long Beach, Calif. native, was originally signed to G-Unit before joining Conglomerate Records.

The match makes sense. Busta Rhymes is known for his consistent raucous energy and O.T. Genasis' breakout hit, "CoCo," became known for the same. The song was light on lyrics but heavy on replayability; exclamations like, "BAKING SODA," were hilarious and also infectious.

"The great thing about 'Coco' is that for anybody who hears it, it just sticks," O.T. Genasis said in an interview with Noisey. "Everybody automatically just f---s with it, so me promoting it and doing all that I can for it is going to be a plus."

O.T. Genasis hasn't followed up "Coco" just yet after it peaked at No. 20 at the Billboard Hot 100, but he presumably didn't get co-signs from Busta Rhymes and French Montana for no reason.
