G Herbo Arrested for Felony Gun Possession in Chicago
G Herbo is in big legal trouble. The 22-year-old rhymer was arrested on Thursday (Feb. 22) for illegal gun possession in Chicago.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Herbo was in a vehicle with two other men when he was stopped by police. Upon further inspection, cops discovered that all three men were allegedly “armed with a loaded firearm.”
Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright, was arrested and charged with a felony count of aggravated unlawful use of a loaded weapon in a vehicle without a Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) card. The two other men - identified as Deavonte Royale Kimble and Marchello Walton - was also charged with the same criminal offense.
Herbo was scheduled to perform Friday night (Feb. 23) at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but the show was canceled “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to the venue’s website.
G Herbo's bail was set at $25,000 during a hearing on Friday. There's no word if he was able to post his bond. The rapper's next hearing on this case is scheduled for March 2.
Reps for G Herbo had no comment on the matter.
