Future ‘Long Live the Pimp’ Video Features Trae Tha Truth, Pays UGK Respect
Future is back with a new video for "Long Live the Pimp," a track from his 2012 major label debut Pluto. The clip was directed by Trae Tha Truth, who also provides a lengthy guest verse for the song.
Future ditches his southern Atlanta roots for a trip through Houston -- but stays namechecking southern hip hop greats, mentioning Texas legends Bun B and Pimp C and admitting that they're both "a legend in his memory."
The "Turn on the Lights" rapper is now directing his attention to his upcoming sophomore album Future Hendrix, slated for release some time this year. The first track, "Karate Chop," features Casino and is streaming on Future's Soundcloud.
Watch the clip to catch Future's familiar slur and Trae's slick drawl against a backdrop of bright lights and dark streets.
