Juelz Santana has been climbing his way back to the top recently. Last year's 'Mixin up the Medicine' single rode a Bob Dylan sample to glorious results and his recent guest spot on Lloyd Banks' 'Beamer, Benz or Bentley' remains one of the best hip-hop singles so far in 2010. Basically, the man deserved a giant 27th birthday party and that's exactly what he received at New York City's M2 nightclub Monday night (Feb. 22).

While most everything went off smoothly, there was a mini-brawl that took place when someone tried to climb into the VIP section. VIPs tend to thumb their champagne glasses at such behavior, so after a few strongly worded warnings and what appeared to be grabbing, the man received the brunt of a full-scale beating. TMZ has the video on lock and it looks like rapper Maino is somewhere in the mix (albeit not throwing punches).

Other party guests included Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim and Ashanti. Santana's ensuing Twitter posts lead us to believe he had a great time at the event. A little melee sure isn't going to stop the Harlem rapper from his heroic quest to put New York back on top.
