's childhood home on 19946 Dresden St., in Detroit, has been destroyed. The property featured on the cover of his famous 2000 album 'The Marshall Mathers LP' in addition to 'TMMLP2,' was damaged by fire Thursday evening (Nov. 7).

The second floor of the home was damaged when a fire broke out, according to USA Today. There hasn't been any information as to what exactly caused the blaze. Detroit firefighters arrived on the scene at 6:20PM and extinguished the fire that burst out of the second floor.

The famed property was bought by Eminem's mother, Deborah Mathers, in 1987, with a $3,000 down payment and a pretty cheap $220 a month cost. The property was most recently owned by the Michigan Land Bank, who was auctioning the home for a minimum of $1 this year.
