Drake Brings Out Kanye West, Diddy, Ma$e & More at OVO Fest 2013
Drake's fourth annual OVO Fest might just be his most memorable so far. With the first day cancelled due to Frank Ocean's vocal tear, the spotlight was placed firmly on last night's (Aug. 5) show at Toronto's Molson Ampitheatre, and boy, did Aubrey use it well.
During his two-hour headlining performance -- which followed opening sets from James Blake and Wale -- the hometown hero brought out a slew of special guests, which made for even more special moments. Drake reunited with The Weeknd for 'Crew Love,' brought back Ma$e and Diddy for Bad Boy classics like 'Mo Money Mo Problems,' and deaded rumors of a "cold war" between himself and Kanye West by bringing out Yeezus himself.
"Me and Hov would have never made 'Watch The Throne' if this n----a wasn’t putting pressure on us like that," Kanye announced.
"This one of my first mentors, one of the first people that embraced me, my role model," Drizzy responded.
Lil Wayne, Big Sean, TLC, J. Cole, Miguel, A$AP Rocky and French Montana also entertained the sold-out, 16,000-plus crowd with respective hits. But it was the host himself who brought the night to a grand climax, closing with three of his biggest recent hits: his remix of Migos' 'Versace,' 'No New Friends' and 'Started From the Bottom,' aka "the official Canadian anthem."
