Diddy has yet another reality show under his belt. MTV is the home of his latest show "StarMaker" which will search to find the next big star. The show has been given the green light for January 2009 and will team him up with television producer Mark Burnett.

'It's a privilege to partner with Mark Burnett on my latest television venture. He is one of the industry's best," Diddy said in a statement. "I am confident that we will do great things together with 'StarMaker' and beyond."

Solo artists will compete on the show while living under one roof. Similar to 'Making the Band,' Diddy will keep a watchful eye on the talent while pushing them to the breaking point to see if they really have what it takes to be a star. Unlike 'Making the Band' both men and women will vie for the top spot. Aside from performing in front of an audience every week, contestants will also be judged on how they deal with photo shoots and paparazzi.

Burnett has been a force to reckon with in the realm of reality television for years. Among his credits are 'Survivor,' and 'The Apprentice.' "'StarMaker' will open the door to the tremendous amount of talent out there just waiting to be discovered. We've created a platform that will allow new and emerging artists a chance to showcase their talents to some of the industry's best," Burnett said.

Aside from slowly becoming the reality show king, Diddy is also working on his acting career. He was nominated for an Emmy this year for the film "Raisin in the Sun" which he stared in and executive produced.
